Description:	Government is committed to ensuring that a skilled workforce is in place to provide world-class services during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and to support training for the expansion of this vital industry in the years following. As part of that commitment, government has established a tourism and hospitality consortium in consultation with stakeholders. The British Columbia Tourism and Hospitality Education and Training Consortium will provide overall strategic direction and facilitate communication and planning among educational institutions, industry and government to ensure the education and training requirements of tourism and hospitality are met.
