Description:	WE MEAN BUSINESS STEC works with tourism operators, managers, employees, and educators/consultants across the province. Our mandate is to develop a professional tourism workforce in Saskatchewan. Industry Driven STEC is industry driven. Since 1990, we have worked with literally thousands of industry professionals in every sector, front line staff to managers and owners. In 1996, STEC merged with the Saskatchewan Tourism Authority and the Tourism Industry Association of Saskatchewan (TISASK) to create Tourism Saskatchewan. STEC is non-government and industry-driven. We receive some funding from government, but it is the tourism industry that determines the programs and services we offer. STEC promotes, coordinates and evaluates industry managed standards, certification, career awareness and training in the five tourism industries:
