The original Frontier Airlines was Denver's hometown carrier for 40 years before it was purchased in 1986. The airline carried 87 million passengers over the years and was known for great service and an outstanding safety record. In 1993, executives from the original Frontier Airlines, as well as some newcomers to the industry, gave the old Frontier a fresh start. They were looking to fill gaps in Denver's mainstream hub-and-spoke system. We launched on July 5, 1994 with 180 employees and two Boeing 737-200s on routes between Denver and Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks and Minot, ND. Today, Frontier is proud to once again be Denver's hometown carrier with service to cities coast to coast, down to Mexico, and even up to Canada.

AirTran Airways is one of America's largest low-fare airlines - employing more than 7,500 friendly, professional Crew Members and operating almost 700 flights a day to 50 destinations. The airline's hub is at Hartsfield - Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world's busiest airport by passenger volume, where it is the second largest carrier. AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings (NYSE: AAI), is the world's largest operator of the Boeing 717 and has America's youngest all-Boeing fleet. The airline recently added the Boeing 737-700 aircraft, one of the most fuel efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft flying today, to its fleet.
